This technology is extruding feedstock pellets (we can use polymer feedstock, MIM, and CIM feedstock) or even filaments as a feeding material to print green parts.
Our printer EXAM from AIM 3D GmbH is a very innovative system equipped with two screw extruders that can be operated in parallel to produce 2-component parts or removable support structures.
Printing of the green part
Following the printing process, debinding and sintering is essential to result in ceramic or metal parts. As known from MIM and CIM this follows the same process and can use the same materials. Some feedstock binder systems are more tricky to process than others, please ask us to clarify.
