GROSSFORMATIGE BAUTEILE AUS DEM 3D-DRUCKER
The major challenge in the aerospace industry is that a large number of titanium components are required. In order to shape these into the desired form, they usually have to be machined. This in turn normally means an enormous loss of material of up to 80%. With additive manufacturing using PMD, the components also have to be reworked, but thanks to near-net-shape production, the material loss is much lower and is significantly reduced to just 10-20%. In addition, titanium is a very expensive material, and unfortunately the recycling and reutilization of this material hardly brings any money back. Our process therefore combines the best quality with absolute economy.
